Brace yourself SEO masters, Google’s latest Penguin algorithm will likely go live at the end of this year!
Sometimes at night, if I can’t fall asleep right away, I count penguins, rather than sheep. So far, I usually fall asleep at the third penguin. Now, however, Google has decided to keep me awake for another penguin!
According to Gary Illyes, a Google webmaster trends analyst, the next Penguin algorithm will roll out at the end of 2015. When asked by a fellow digital marketer if we are bound to see another update of the infamous algorithm by the end of the year, Gary replied with a short and affirmative “yes”.
This next level Penguin wonder will be a real-time algorithm. In plain words this means that you can end up with a Penguin penalty rather quickly. However, you can also recover from a penalty rather quickly.
The real-time algorithm will be capable of discovering a removed or disavowed link right away. Giving the new Penguin the ability to update its records and remove a penalty from a website much quicker than before.
So, there shouldn’t be any release dates for future Penguin updates after the 4.0 version. It is expected that this version will be running and updating itself in real-time.
